Where is the cost versus life volume graph in DFA v9.2? The cost versus life volume graph was removed in DFA version 9.2. This graph was removed primarily because, whenever a DFM analysis was imported into DFA, the graph was inaccurate for life volumes other than the life volume used in the original analyses. The best way to generate a cost versus life volume comparison in the DFA software is to create various comparisons on separate analysis tabs. Copy your DFA analysis onto separate tabs in your file and change the life volume on each tab. For each DFM part in the DFA analysis, copy the DFM analysis onto a separate tab and change the life volume in each analysis. Add the life volume to the analysis tab names in DFM. Return to DFA and right-click on each DFM part in your DFA analysis. Choose DFM Concurrent Costing from the menu that appears. The DFA software will display a window with the current DFM file used for the DFM part. Click OK and then select the DFM analysis tab that corresponds to the life volume you'd like to import. This procedure, although more time consuming than displaying the old cost versus life volume graph, will generate a correct cost comparison at various life volumes.
