How can more information be displayed on the screen?

In DFA 9 and DFM Concurrent Costing:

  • You can remove window elements in the Window Layout dialog in the Tools menu.

  • When you're making frequent use of the Add Item or Operation dialogs you can "dock" them under the toolbar so they are always available.

  • Components of setups can be hidden by double clicking on the handle of the setup or subassembly. All hidden components are still contained in the analysis and used in the program calculations. The components can be displayed by double clicking the handle again.

In DFA 9, you can reduce or increase the data shown, by altering Views. You can tear off a box and float it: for instance to enlarge the structure chart tear off the Results box.

In Design For Environment, follow these steps:

More of your entries can be displayed on the chart, Worksheet, or Operation Plan by hiding the controls. To hide the Chart’s controls, deselect "Controls visible" from the Subassembly or Setup menu. The Worksheet or Operation Plan controls can be hidden by deselecting "Controls visible" from the "Worksheet" or "Set-up" menu.
