What makes the Geometry Calculator toolbar for my sheet metal laser cutting analysis look different from the one I was working with last time I worked on a sheet metal analysis? I don't have the positive area shapes toolbar any more.

The Geometry Calculator gives you the toolbars you need to calculate the necessary geometry inputs for the current analysis. For instance, in the situation you describe, your analysis used a CAD import for dimensional data. On the Laser tab in the Geometry Calculator, you will see a different set of toolbars than you would if you were not using the CAD link. The difference is that the area of the part is calculated from CAD surface area data, and therefore only hole areas and perimeter calculations are needed. The positive area toolbar is not needed so it is not available. Notice that toolbars may change for each tab, as well as for the analysis. There is another FAQ on this topic, How can I get the form features toolbar back on my geometry calculator window for a sheet metal analysis?
