My product labor cost is not the total assembly time multiplied by the labor rate. Why? Check your overall plant efficiency percent. On the Structure Chart click the main assembly. In the Subassembly data box (to see it, it must be in your current View,) you can change this setting. It has to be 100 if labor cost is to be assembly time multiplied by labor rate. The efficiency percent allows you to adjust your results for your plant conditions to provide accurate costs, while still maintaining DFA's labor time standard for the analysis. You can change the default plant efficiency for new analyses in the Set Defaults dialog (Tools-Set Defaults). Notice that you can set different plant efficiency rates for subassemblies. If you change the plant efficiency rate for the main assembly, you are asked if you want to set the same rate for all the subassemblies in the analysis |
