I’d like to send the Executive summary report via email to a colleague who does not have the DFA software. How can I do that? We recommend converting reports to PDF (portable document format), which then can be forwarded via email or made accessible from a web page. This type of file can be read using Adobe’s Acrobat Reader, a free viewing program available over the internet at Adobe’s website (www.adobe.com.) Your colleague can then read the report on screen, or print it. To generate the report as a PDF file, print preview the report and then select Export from the preview's File menu. Save the report as a PDF file by selecting PDF Portable Document Format from the Save as type dropdown. This method works for all reports in all DFMA software, including Design for Assembly and DFM Concurrent Costing. Some users have asked about exporting reports or screens to Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel and Power Point. There are several methods of extracting DFMA data in recognized formats.
